Stumpestagen (or Stumpastaken, as it is called in its home country), is designed by Jonas Torstensson. It came on the market in 1991 and soon achieved status as a design classic. Today Stumpestagen can be found in thousands of Swedish homes.

The material used is recycled Swedish aluminium, and the candle holder is not only made for chandelier candles, but also for tea lights and smaller pillar candles.

The brilliant thing is that here you can use candle stubs of all lengths.

The grid that fits over the candle holder is brilliant for keeping your tea or coffee warm.

The candle holder can either be placed directly on the table or on a black cork bowl, which can hold candle stubs, matches, and such like.

Furthermore you can buy a set of four small glass vases that fit into indentations that hold the candles.
