When I was introduced to this sowing tray made from nature rubber – and even fairtrade FSC certified and CO2 neutral – I was really excited. It was exactly what I had been looking for:

A durable sowing tray with 30 cells. Either for direct sowing or pricking out.

I am so tired of the thin plastic sowing trays that break at the drop of a hat and rarely last for more than one season. This tray will last you a lifetime!

The trays are made in Sri Lanka as a fair-trade project. This ensures better rights for the farmers, including higher wages and paid sick leave – also during pregnancy. The organisations certifying the producers also focus on men and women getting equal pay; that the working conditions are healthy and secure; and that the working conditions for potential child workers do not ruin their well-being or possibility of going to school.
